"Thermophysical property evolution during molten regolith electrolysis" - Humbert et al. (2022)
Alan Duffy
An exhaustive study by the amazing Swinburne PhD student Matthew Humbert into creating a more accurate framework for exploring the extraction of desired metals from lunar regolith (i.e. the Moon’s soil) that might support future astronauts exploring the Solar System. Bringing together a rich range of sources, Matt has created a Molten Regolith Electrolysis system that offers electrolysis system designers a more accurate method for evaluating system performance during operation. It can also be applied on Earth too for those trying to undertake carbon-free metal production through Molten Oxide Electrolysis. Saving the Earth, and exploring space, is a great thing for any paper to deliver!
