I've kept the previous post up but sadly it's with regret that I have to pass on the message from Lateral Events that despite all our best efforts, What’s NEXT? has been cancelled in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. All ticket buyers will be provide with a full refund within the next seven days (i.e. mid-August latest) by Ticketmaster or Ticketek. Any questions head to the www.lateralevents.com website, but I am really sorry that I can't join Kip in Australia - it would have been a mind-bending experience.
I cannot believe I get to write this but Nobel Prize-winning and Interstellar science consultant Prof Kip Thorne is touring Australia and I AM ON STAGE WITH HIM! Prof Kip Thorne is quite literally one of the smartest humans in the world; his work on gravitational waves earned him a share of the Nobel Prize in confirming Einstein's final prediction and he worked with director Chris Nolan to ensure the amazing scenes of Interstellar are as physically accurate as possible (seriously, you can weigh the black hole mass by the giant wave on the planet).
We will travel Australia and delve into how scientific advances will change the way we live our lives and how the world we live in will change for ever. It's no small matter to pull all this together, which is why we have the best in the business - none other than Robin Ince, award-winning British comedian and co-host of The Infinite Monkey Cage with Prof Brian Cox.
