Fabricating for space with Titomic
Alan Duffy
Incredible news as one of the largest Federal Government’s Modern Manufacturing Initiative grants ($2.325M from Gov, for a total expenditure of $4.65M) is awarded to Titomic and Swinburne!
We will purchase a TKF1000 machine to fabricate new satellite and rocketry components using titanium cold spray technology, making lighter - but stronger - parts that are also greener. My congratulations to colleagues Andrew Ang and Chris Berndt for this success, but also to all industries in Victoria who can now access this national space manufacturing facility at our Hawthorn campus.
